The cycle of poverty and homelessness can be broken. SOME’s (So Others Might Eat) comprehensive programs designed to help our most vulnerable neighbors—people experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty—find pathways out of poverty and achieve long-term stability and success.
SOME is an interfaith, community-based service organization that exists to help and support residents of our nation’s capital experiencing homelessness and poverty. SOME offers a variety of services, including affordable housing, counseling, addiction treatment, and job training. In addition, SOME helps meet immediate daily needs by providing food, clothing, and healthcare to those in need.
Marlboro Boys and Girls Club
Youth Sports Organization
The Marlboro Boys & Girls Club is a private, non-profit corporation incorporated under the statutes of the State of Maryland and is governed by a Board of Directors. The Club provides Marlboro youth opportunities to participate in many activities sponsored and conducted throughout the county.
This organization offers basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, cheerleading, lacrosse, boxing, wrestling, track, football, golf programs for girls and boys ages 3 – 18.These activities are available to all youth, regardless of ability and/or skill level. Participants receive instruction from coaches who are American Sports Effectiveness Program qualified.

Giving During the Holidays
The holidays can be tough for a lot of people and families for various reasons. IDEA squared provides help to families in need during the holidays. Help is provided in a variety of ways — Thanksgiving Dinner Items, Holiday Family Adoption, Angel Tree Giving, Serving Dinners to Homeless, etc.
IDEA Squared understands that every little bit helps and wants to make the holidays a little brighter for those in need.
